![]() Peer/Individual Crisis InterventionPeer support is a key feature of the crisis intervention model we utilize. Specifically we believe there are many circumstances when an law enforcement officer would most like to speak to another officer, a firefighter with a fellow firefighter, a nurse talking to another nurse, a dispatcher to dispatcher and so on. We have volunteer peers that are specifically trained to be available for emergency service providers. There are also times when speaking to a mental health provider may be best, we therefore have trained clinicians experienced working with emergency service providers. Pastoral care is also available and often are peer providers as well. Confidentiality is one of our primary concerns along with personal safety and career preservation. The conversations held with peers and mental health providers are kept in the strictest of confidences. We can be reached through PB County Fire-Rescue Dispatch (561.712.6550) or via e mail. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE IMMEDIATELY- EMAILS ARE TYPICALLY ANSWERED IN 1-2 DAYS.
